In Gaza Children Graveyard, I speak for those who no longer have the chance to speak for themselves — the children, the mothers, and the families silenced by war. Their lives are often reduced to numbers in news headlines, but behind every statistic is a heartbeat, a story, a song that was never finished.
Being a voice for the voiceless means refusing to look away. It means giving humanity back to those stripped of it by violence and indifference. I do not write to accuse; I write to remember. Through my words, I want readers to feel the sorrow, the resilience, and the unbroken will of a people who continue to stand amid unimaginable loss.
My purpose is simple yet profound: to remind the world that empathy is not optional. Every life matters, and silence can be as destructive as the bombs that fall.

I write about Gaza because I cannot remain silent in the face of suffering. The cries of children, the grief of parents, and the stories of survival amid ruins compelled me to put their voices on paper. Writing became my way of witnessing — of saying to the world: “These lives existed, and they mattered.”
My approach is grounded in truth and compassion. I do not write to take sides but to reveal the human cost of indifference. Each poem and reflection in Gaza Children Graveyard comes from a place of empathy and moral responsibility — a need to tell the stories the world too often forgets.
If my writing stirs even one heart to think differently, to question injustice, or to see another’s pain as their own, then it has served its purpose. Words can be weapons or bridges — I choose to build bridges.

My journey as a writer began with observation and empathy. I have always been drawn to the quiet stories — the ones whispered rather than shouted. When I began Gaza Children Graveyard, I knew it would not be an easy path. Writing about pain, loss, and injustice comes with emotional weight, but it also carries purpose.
The greatest challenge has been balancing truth with sensitivity. These are not just political events — they are human experiences filled with real suffering. Every word I write is guided by respect for those whose lives I describe.
This journey has taught me that writing is not just an art; it’s a responsibility. To write truthfully is to stand in solidarity with the oppressed, even when the world prefers silence. It has deepened my understanding of what it means to be human — fragile, yet capable of boundless compassion.

Inspiration comes from witnessing the strength of ordinary people who refuse to give up. Every child in Gaza who still smiles, every mother who still prays, every neighbor who still helps — they are the true heroes of my writing.
Amid destruction, I find hope in human connection. The spirit of Gaza teaches us that compassion cannot be destroyed. My goal is to ensure that their stories continue to live through the power of words.

My writing takes shape in silence — in the still moments when the world’s noise fades and the weight of my thoughts becomes words. I often begin with a single image: a child’s shoe in the rubble, a candle burning in a darkened hospital, a mother’s trembling hands. From there, the emotions unfold naturally into verses or reflections.
I write with empathy at the center of every line. I let the pain speak, but I also let hope whisper. Each passage in Gaza Children Graveyard was written with both grief and reverence — grief for the loss, reverence for the lives that once were.
My environment doesn’t matter as much as my mindset. I write when my heart is full, when silence becomes too heavy to hold inside. That’s when the words find me.

For some, that coping mechanism comes from the written word, and in particular poetry.

Marshall’s Scattered Changes: Step Ladder Changes, the author explores the poetic style of storytelling in order to cope with events in the world and our society and highlight how when something happens on a large enough scale, we are all impacted by that moment. From natural disasters to racial injustice and violence being seen at an exponential rate in various parts of the world (most notably the United States), the author and poet gives voice to these tragedies and explores how these events connect us all.
The author did an incredible job of writing in a way which conveyed the powerful emotions these events and injustices have brought out in our society, while also conveying an injustice few of us will ever be truly able to comprehend.
